MLB: World Series Game 4
- Rays 4, Brewers 3 (12 inn.). Tampa Bay avoided the sweep, and Milwaukee leads the series 3-1. Rookie Cooper Pratt hit a go-ahead solo homer in the top of the 12th. In the bottom half, Joey Ortiz’s throwing error put Junior Caminero on, Jonny DeLuca’s single tied it, and pinch-hitter Ben Williamson’s chopper into right won it. (~1.2M views). It’s the most-watched clip of the night. It came 15 years to the day after David Freese’s walk-off, and the only other team to walk off while facing a World Series sweep was the 1910 Cubs.
- Aaron Ashby extended his record scoreless relief streak to 18 innings. Milwaukee’s 8-game postseason win streak is over.
- Game 5: tonight at 8:00 PM ET on FOX at Tropicana Field. Jacob Misiorowski starts for Milwaukee. The Rays’ starter is TBA after Nick Martinez threw two innings in relief. Games 6 and 7, if needed, are in Milwaukee.
NBA
- Celtics 125, Nets 124 (OT). Jayson Tatum scored 40, with a career-high 18 free throws, and hit an elbow jumper at the OT buzzer. Mikel Brown Jr.’s three with one second left had forced overtime. Brooklyn is 0-4. (~705K views). It’s Tatum’s 7th game-winner with under 3 seconds left since 2019-20, the most in the league over that span, in his first season back from an Achilles tear.
- Trail Blazers 136, Lakers 129. Portland is 3-0 and handed LA its first loss. Ja Morant and Deni Avdija scored 23 each, Jrue Holiday had 22 and Damian Lillard had 21, including the dagger three with 43 seconds left. Luka Dončić had 41 points and 9 assists, two days after scoring 52. (~431K views). Fans are passing around Luka’s fake, euro-step and no-look pass as the best play of the night.
- Knicks 111, Pistons 97. Karl-Anthony Towns had 27 points and 20 rebounds, and Jalen Brunson added 7 assists. It’s New York’s first win (1-3). Detroit is 3-1.
- Spurs 130, Kings 103. Victor Wembanyama had 29 points and 10 rebounds. Sacramento is 0-4.

College Football: Big Ten
- Michigan (4-3, 1-3) plays at Rutgers (2-5, 1-3) Saturday, Oct. 31, at 12:30 PM ET on BTN. Michigan is a 14-point favorite. Whittingham hasn’t publicly named a starting QB between Tommy Carr and Bryce Underwood. He said the decision would be made Tuesday so the starter gets all the reps.
- Whittingham said there are no rash coordinator changes for now, but he left the door open on OC Jason Beck. RT Blake Frazier is hoping to return, TE Zack Marshall is back from a two-game suspension, and Rutgers WR KJ Duff has drawn “Megatron” comparisons from Whittingham.
- There were no Big Ten games Tuesday.
Premier League

Golf
- There’s no men’s major until the 2027 Masters at Augusta National, April 8–11.
Outside the Usual
- Fleetwood Town 1, Arsenal 1 (Fleetwood wins 5-3 on penalties), Carabao Cup 4th round. Lower-league Fleetwood knocked out the Premier League champions after a late Arsenal red card. Jay Lynch saved Bruno Guimarães’ penalty, and the pitch invasion footage is all over X.
