MLB: World Series Game 5

  • Brewers 4, Rays 1. Milwaukee wins the World Series 4-1, its first title in the franchise’s 57 years. Jacob Misiorowski threw 5.2 scoreless innings and left with a right calf cramp. Rookie Cooper Pratt drove in two runs, with an RBI single in the 2nd and a sac fly in the 6th, and he’s now 6-for-6 over his last six at-bats. William Contreras’ RBI double keyed the two-run 6th. JoJo Romero, Abner Uribe and Trevor Megill finished it, and Megill jammed Richie Palacios into a slow roller to Brice Turang for the final out. (~1M views). It’s the most-watched clip of the night, with Brewers fans going wild at Tropicana Field and back at American Family Field.
  • William Contreras is World Series MVP. He hit .381 (8-for-21) with 4 RBIs and threw out four base stealers. He’s the first catcher to win it since Salvador Perez in 2015. His brother Willson was in the stands wearing a Brewers jersey.
